All are Hazardous Area approved (FM/ATEX/IECEx/CSA and more) for location in zone I areas and 3rd party Performance approved (EN54-10, FM, DNV).

The 40/40 range includes IR3, combined UV/IR, single UV types, single IR type as well as a new Multi IR Detector which provides combined hydrocarbon and hydrogen flame detection.

40/40 Series Letter of Transition

We are glad to inform you of the release of the next generation of flame detectors which will replace the current 40/40 product series.

For your convenience we have decided to keep 40/40 as the series identifier. In order to reduce the complexity, the new 40/40D and C models will have one universal wiring option which will match the previous 5 wiring options. More details will be available in the technical documentation.

The new generation 40/40D and 40/40C Series flame detectors is the next step in optical flame detection and comes with best in class performance and many new features.

This serves as formal notification that the current SharpEye 40/40 series is being discontinued and the new models will serve as their functional replacement. The last order date for the current SharpEye 40/40 series is December 31^st, 2021.

The 40/40D and 40/40C Series mounting bracket has the same fixing centers as the 40/40 Series bracket. Please review the affected products and their replacements below.

UV/IR Flame Detector - FlameSpec-UV-IR

The detector addresses slow growing fires as well as fast eruptions of fire using improved UV IR
technology. The detector operates in all weather and light conditions.
